Hotspot & Vouchers

Generate, sell and activate MikroTik hotspot vouchers from the same system that runs your fibre subscribers. Batches, resellers, expiry and CoA disconnect, with revenue posted to the same ledger.

What you get

Hotspot sales on the same platform as your fibre subscribers.

Hotspot & Vouchers is a module of SentraNet. It sells prepaid WiFi access on MikroTik routers and reports into the same platform as the rest of your ISP.

Direct MikroTik integration

Hotspot users are created and removed on the router over the RouterOS API. Vouchers are pushed straight to the router, with no manual entry.

Voucher batches

Generate 1 to 1,000 vouchers per package with a unique serial and 6-digit PIN each, printed on a ready-to-cut sheet for the counter or a reseller.

Sell, activate, void

Every voucher moves through a strict lifecycle — unused, sold, active, expired or void — so nobody is unsure whether a code is still live.

Every site, one panel

Each site is its own router connection, with its own packages and vouchers, all reporting into the same admin panel.

Finance per site

Sales, expenses, recurring costs and a P&L by package and category. The panel that sells the voucher shows whether the site is profitable.

Roles that match the counter

Readonly staff get view-only access; only admins touch finance, users and package pricing.

From router to receipt

A voucher is a real product, sold and tracked like one.

Packages are configured per site — price, duration, data cap, speed limit and the RouterOS hotspot profile to apply. A batch generates unique serials and PINs against that package, and packages lock once vouchers have been issued so pricing history stays honest.

At the counter

Sell it, activate it, done.

A sale records the amount, payment method and cashier against the voucher. Activation pushes it to MikroTik as a hotspot user with the package's limits applied and computes when it expires. The router only ever sees a voucher that has been paid for.

  • Sale and activation are separate, auditable steps
  • Voiding removes an active voucher from the router immediately
  • Filterable voucher list by status, package and serial

How it works

One site first, then the rest.

A hotspot rollout depends on the first site's router talking to the panel cleanly. We start there.

Connect the router

Site added with host, port and API credentials; a test-connection call confirms the router answers before anything else happens.

Configure packages

Duration, data cap, speed limit and hotspot profile set to match what the site wants to sell.

Print and sell

First batch generated and printed, counter staff trained on sell, activate and void.

Add the next site

Every further router is another connection in the same panel, reporting into the same finance and inventory view.

Specification

The details engineers ask about.

If something depends on your router or your hosting, it says so.

Router integration
Direct MikroTik RouterOS API: create hotspot user, remove hotspot user, fetch active sessions.
Voucher batches
1–1,000 vouchers per batch, unique random serial and 6-digit PIN each, optional serial prefix.
Voucher lifecycle
Unused → sold → active → expired/void, each step logged against the voucher.
Packages
Price, duration, data cap and speed limit per package, scoped to a site; locked once vouchers are issued.
Multi-site
Multiple sites, each its own router connection, packages and vouchers.
Expiry
Scheduled job expires vouchers and removes them from the router automatically, every minute.
Finance
Sales and expenses ledgers, recurring expenses, inventory valuation, sell-through rate, P&L by period, CSV export.
Access control
Admin and readonly roles; finance and user management admin-only.
Client portal
Branded captive-portal login served through the MikroTik walled garden; the router validates against the hotspot users already pushed to it.
Questions

Answers to what usually comes next.

How does it connect to MikroTik?
Directly over the RouterOS API. Hotspot users are created and removed on the router itself when a voucher is activated, voided or expired.
How do vouchers actually get sold?
A batch is generated with a serial and PIN per voucher, printed on a sheet, and sold at the counter. The sale records amount, payment method and cashier, then activation pushes the voucher to the router with the speed, data and time limits from its package.
Can we run more than one site?
Yes. Every site is its own router connection, and every package, voucher and report is scoped to a site, so head office sees each location separately.
What happens when a voucher expires?
A scheduled job checks every minute for vouchers past their expiry and removes them from the router automatically.
Is there financial reporting?
Yes. Revenue, expenses and net profit by day, month or a custom period, inventory valuation on unsold vouchers, and a P&L broken down by package and expense category, with CSV export.
Can staff without financial access still use the panel?
A readonly role gives view-only access, while finance and user management stay restricted to admins.
Let's talk

Run your ISP on one platform.

We will walk SentraNet through your own network — your plans, your NAS estate, your OLT vendors — so you can judge it on the operation you actually run.
